Those tears are starting to tick me off..
At least you have that decent vandrad AMV. Which by-the-way I
keep on a consant loop of other peoples AMV's.

I thought my "Reclaim My Place" video (not yet on my profile) turned out fairly good. I mean, I'm atleast somewhat satisfied with all the videos I finish. But all my friends just fuckin' loved it for some reason. Not complaining at all, I just wouldn't have considered it my best, even at the time.

Well, here's another POV.

Stop caring what is popular and what isn't.

Make videos that YOU like. If people like them too, woohoo, bonus! It's a good feeling. But it is exactly that, a bonus on top of the main accomplishment, which is making a vid that you like.

And if people don't like them, guess what? You still have a vid that you like.

Other people liking your videos = icing. Yummy icing, but still icing. Not the cake.

mmm, cake.

I don't mean to beat anybody down this time, just offering the opposite POV.

And when it comes to people liking different things than you do - that's just life. Sometimes you accidentally play to the crowd or it strikes a chord with more people than you intended. It's not important that people like the same thing you do, for reasons stated in my ramble above. Sure, you may wonder why, but ultimately it doesn't matter.

I haven't had this happen with vids, but I had it back when I wrote a lot on the net. People latched onto the stories I thought were more obvious and treacly. But y'know, everyone has different tastes.
