Sir - uncool. VERY uncool. You do not EVER bring your mom's opinion into a discussion. I'm sure she's a lovely woman and all, but her opinion means jack squat. Why? Because, if she's a good mother, she's biased in your favor - valuable to you, certainly, but worthless otherwise.RamonesFan2020204 wrote:It IS sad however that you think that FREAK Manson is a great lyricist. He's an evil person, ask my mom, she hates him too. My mom thinks I have good musical taste, because I like alot of different music, and I know what's good, and I stay away from that crap like Manson, Tool, Slipknot, etc.
And I'd exclude Tool from that list. They're not my cup of tea, but I can recognize artistry over gimmickry.
But what Sir Paul likes isn't necessarily what YOU like. What you like isn't necessarily what I like. What I like isn't necessarily what Jace likes. It's subjective. We all like good music - because good music is good in our heads.RamonesFan2020204 wrote:My mom said there was an interview with Paul McCartney once where he was asked WHAT KIND of music he liked, and he said "Good music", and I like "Good music" too.
Define "bad music". Then explain why it's bad music. Use convincing logic, arguments, and evidence to support this position.RamonesFan2020204 wrote:Manson, Fear Factory, Tool, NIN, and Slipknot and all the other bands like that aren't "Good music", they're "Bad music".
Fear Factory was good hard rock. Better than most bands nowadays. Listen to "Resurrection". Starts out slow and moody, then turns into one of the most awesome, feel good power rock songs ever. It has a hopeful sound to it.
