Thought I'd post this in the AMV Contests area, but found it a little too irrelevant so I post it here...

The deal: me and a group of friends, 3 hours, 1 computer, h-fi speaker system, a wackload of vids picked mostly from the 'Top 10%' list, mostly by creators whom I've encountered here on the forums.

Panel of judges: Otohiko, Cless-R34, Ian and Joe.

The result: we all voted for the best vids, with the following top picks resulting resulting, bottom up:

While irrelevant, I hope this small viewing is a fun little thing that some others might consider doing themselves.

Awesome vid Nappy, I was watching that for the first time and was all like :ROFL:

There are several other deserving vids which, given the composition of the audience, were not destined to go over awesomely well with them i.e. Euphoria, Sappy Self Indulgence, dwchang's two latest vids, Shameless Rock video, and a few others. They all got good responses though, just not as good as the other ones.

Fame is nothing.

People in this community who are well known are nothing more than the "shitty" editors.

Put it this way.

Most people see me as a fat 11 year old kid who can't make an AMV for his life. What if before Koop even got the idea for Euphoria, I made the same exact video? I'd still be nothing. But yet, Koop makes Euphoria and he get's all the worshiping you could ever imagine. I think that's wrong. I dunno about you guys, but I don't like being treated as a non-existant moron.

So, take my point seriously. It's not right for me if I had made Euphoria the same way as Koop before Koop got the idea to still be treated as a lousy editor, but then Koop comes along and makes Euphoria and get's all the worshiping you could fit onto a 2,000ft pole.

Think about that.

And by the way, we wouldnt know if you had made euphoria before koop.. cause you didnt. so unless you can go back in time, misticly make it, come back and see if we treat you badly. tough luck kid thats life.
