Congradulations Paulo. I am sure you are swimming on cloud nine now. I know I was when I first used Premiere. Boy is it better than WMM, but it has it's own problems. My suggestion, read Absolute Destiny immediately. It will save you time and agrivation. Believe me, it will.

Now I will be even harder on you with my reviews.

With Premiere you should be having better edits and much better picture quality. I take WMM into account on those things when reviewing. Your videos should be even better now. Anyway, my grading has been getting more stringent these days. Not giving as high scores so freely. I am sure you are up to the challenge considering you were making great videos without Premiere. I just expect them to be even better now.

these things make divx NOT an editing codec.
Unless you're REALLY lucky like me and editted luckily with digisubs that DIDN'T cause Premiere to crash every 4 seconds AND you knew how to filter properly...

I don't know why I can edit with DivX/XviD and still be fine. My only guess is that I'm lucky...

I edit with DVD VOB files now so it's no biggie anymore :)

I've never had ANY problems with premiere crashing

If you encode into the Microsoft V1 codec and then use it in premiere, it runs like butter. mmm salty

When I edit in Premiere using an old AVI 2.0 codec on my ATI capture card (for VHS), it always seems to crash after I do a couple of edits. So I do a few edits, get the illegal operation message or whatnot, then I edit again. Sometimes I'm lucky and it doesn't mess up as often, and other days it's downright evil.

Why use the codec you ask? It's either this, or Indeo *shudder*. MPEG takes up way too much space for the amount of footage I grab!

Peace!

ive made a hyrbrid amv. i used premiere and vegas video. i like vegas a little bit better then premiere. the only thing i like about premiere better is that i can make effects last a little bit longer then vegas. but in premiere it wont let me export to mpeg. only avi, wmv, rm.
