obtaining the rights to show them on pay tv would be costly. They would need to get the rights from:

- the anime companies of the anime
- the music companies who own the rights to the music
- the actual AMV artist

When a true anime channel becomes nationwide in the U.S. I think that AMVs might became a possible segment for the channel to show. However it might not be cost efficient unless they already have the rights to show the anime that the AMV contains. Plus, many AMVs have spoilers, so that could cause problems as well.

Well I'm sure they could just show the amvs with spoilers like the night after the series is over. Though that would leave time more or less wasted when they could be starting the series over again or showing a new one.
