Thanks Misty ^_^ I honestly didn't mind for the first few scenes I noticed (ie the first 18 seconds of the video) but unfortunately it was a little more than just a few scenes here and there. I'm over it now, thanks. ^_^MistyCaldwell wrote:I guess it's *just* editing but after you go through and conceive it and render it and all, an amv becomes 'yours' because you put so much of yourself in it. Most people have a style that is obvious to see so that shows you put a little piece of yourself in there. To have people steal intellectual property is mostly about principle it seems....but still something worth mentioning PetroMy sympathy for you, at least it's simmered down to disgust now
Ironically, when I was downloading the video I was thinking "gee, he must be using good footage for the video size to be this big in avi. I wish I had the DVD footage when I made my video" lol. looking back at it, it would have been pretty funny if it wasn't my video footage

Anyway, I'm done on this topic now. Thanks your your support ^^

No, I'm pretty sure Otakon was the end of July again. A week earlier actually. I remember because I couldn't go since it was my aniversary with my (then) gf. Guess what her name was, and guess which AMV she didn't appreciate ~_^

You know I've cut apart a few AMVs for footage before... Wait before I'm burnt to a cinder let me finish. The reason I did it was for practice. Seriously I've done a total of five videos, but only two of them we're done with footage that wasn't from other AMVs. The first was rather silly and is just sitting on my hard drive, the other I entered into the catalog, though with no place to host it if anyone is actually interested I have to e-mail it to them or send it through AIM. I never plan on publicly releasing my first three videos.
That dose remind me though. How do I get it so it says NO instead of direct or indirect? I know this is rather off topic but if I don't ask thing like this while I'm thinking of them I'll forget.

I almost completely agree with you. exept for the music part. Someone not being able to use a song they like with a AMV just cause some one else already used it is stupid. But they should not be cutting scens directly from someone eleses AMVNow I'm not talking about just using similar scenes, or maybe even the same music,

Gee, it's not like you are a part of any fansub groups <cough>Anime-Fansubs<cough> that might have subbed Love Hina a while ago. Still if you couldn't find the anyone in our group that still had the raws, I'm sure the subbed versions would've been pretty respectable quality.Petro wrote:Ironically, when I was downloading the video I was thinking "gee, he must be using good footage for the video size to be this big in avi. Bogosort,
I wasn't an A-F member when I made that AMV - but I did use some Love Hina footage from A-F ^_^
By the way, the subs were done at 320x240 resolution. I got some footage that was 640x480, but not much. The reason the vid is 640x480 is that I spent some time with some filters cleaning up footage first ~_^
