I am sleep deprives. It is the third day of classes. I am living on 3 hours of sleep a day. I skip breakfast.
I install new ATM NIC card on production server Aryo. Aryo does NAT routing, so I setup NAT with the new interface.
Hey look! RPC is giving 7301 error and crashing! When it crashes, Windows automatically reboots, so I have to screw around for an hour with TightVNC and SSH to figure out that I have to start the service to abort the shutdown to use MMC to reset the recovery options.
According to MS Website, this bug appeared in Win2k. They said "Wait for next service patch". I am using Windows .NET Gundam with latest patch. I run Windows Update. I even defrag.
WHY IS A YEAR OLD ERROR STILL NOT SOLVED BY MS?!?!
THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD LAST YEAR!!!
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!
