Have you seen their new wave of anti-piracy ads designed to tug at the heart strings of evil piraters everywhere?
They claim that piracy doesn't hurt the people who make the big money, but instead all the poor people who make the movies possible, like the set designers, the costume makers, etc. Pirating the movie supposedly = less profit which in turn = less money for these poor, bottom-of-the-rung people.
BOOHOOHOO.
Genius. Except for the fact that BY THE TIME THE MOVIE COMES OUT SAID INDIVIDUALS HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID AND ARE WELL ON THEIR WAY TO THEIR NEXT JOBS.
Piracy hurts the end-profits. meaning those people who make the big bucks.
good job MPAA. now you're a dick. brownie-flavored.
