I'm a compassionate guy in reality, but I seem to act a bit fucked up in social situations. I tend to catch people off guard with my antics, but it's usually just my goal to make any type of person laugh, albeit sometimes a person will tune me out at first, but I'll break the fuckers down... It's my natural way of getting over harsh situations or negative feelings, so a lot of times when I'm being incredibly cynnical/sarcastic and it's funny as fuck, it's usually because I'm hurting. I can be serious a good amount when I get to know somebody, and trust them, but usually I try to keep things light. Most of my serious manner is directed towards my writing.

Isn't it your dream to write children's books, Adam? For preschoolers, no less?

You might be able to reach, say, "Clifford The Big Red Dog" level in terms of success (how many of those books are there? And wasn't the latest one about his worms?), but you'll always feel artistically hollow, because you strive and struggle, but you just can't produce a work of the same caliber as "Babar" or "Curious George".

I'm sorry. I'm just giving you a glimpse into the future. You might be able to be the next John Grisham or Tom Clancy or even the next Mark Twain - but give up on the children's books.
