Garylisk, you think I'm going to stop liking a band just because they get popular?
I'd of ripped that guys nuts off if any one of these bands were in that book: THE ATARIS, Finch, The Used, Blink-182, Green Day, New Found Glory, Mest, Something Corporate, Riddlin' Kids, Box Car Racer, Goldfinger, Thrice, Yellowcard, Sum 41, Alkaline Trio, Home Grown, All American Rejects, Thursdat, Jimmy Eat World, Sugarcult, AFI, and I'm sure there are more popular bands I'm missing.
These are all incredibly popular bands right now, or bands that will be within a few months. The band doesn't still have to be small for somehting like that to anger me.

Well, I can understand why. I mean most of the nu punk exposed is all pop punk. I think Finch and The Used are really the only majorly popular punk bands right now that arn't pop.Propyro wrote:wow ... you got a pretty cool job ... congradualtions ... so now i see one of the reasons for your attatchment to "nu-punk" ... personaly i'm not a very big fan of it though.

The point whizzed over your head completely.Jace Tsunami wrote:Garylisk, you think I'm going to stop liking a band just because they get popular?
If it was small time bands and they were doing promotion work for them in that fashion, and the bands were getting a cut, plus getting exposure, it woulda been cool.... but they were just tossing out popular music that they knew would sell.. just to make a quick illegal buck.
That's all I was saying.

yeah, and those bands I named are popular garylisk =/
this is what I'm saying.
If some one rips off a band I'm friends with, It'd really piss me off. But even tho I deal with small bands, I still keep in touch and am friends with the bands after they're big.
The atais, New Found Glory, Blink-182, Green Day, Good Charlotte, these bands are all what you would call "popular music"
I'm sure it's very possible one of these CDs was in that book, I mean Good charlotte has a platnum album now.
