Deep Sky Astronomy
Got bored, decided to ask a question,
Any other Deep Sky Astronomy/Photography enthusiasts here, or what?
Discussion, questions, general random bullshit is all welcome..
Oh dear, I may have killed my thread already...
Meh..

I have a telescope, but I've never really gone into the deep space side of things (too much money for a descent engough scope) and I haven't got a camera mount for my scope so can't do the photography thing either.
I once helped a friend do a project that involved taking photo's of constellations and the moon etc... but that's as close as I've got. I'll just have to make do with the local observatory.
and for some randomness...
I remember the Leonids came during my final high school exams so I dragged my matteress out into the living room, set my alarm and then went to sleep. I watched them for about 2 hours or so both nights they went over and I still managed to pass my exams, although I think I yawned a lot

OOh! Some enthusisasts! cool...
I like checking out parts of the southern sky (living in Australia, I get to see some really beutiful things around the vicinity of the Southern Cross, plus at about 1 or 2 in the morning, you can see the center of the galaxy if you look toward Sagittarius) plus I'm at the right latitude to see some of the northern sky to, like Lyra and Cygnus. Ahh, space kicks so much ass...
