My bet? They manage to team up somehow (temporarily) and end up doing more naughty things than ever. Unprecedented! Over 3 hundred houses TPd withina 15 minute period!GoldenGundam wrote:To my recolection, this is the first actual "evil vs. evil" movie, that I know of. This will be interesting to see an "evil" movie come from an industry that usually likes to see the good win over evil. Well since neither Freddy nor Jason are good, it will be interesting to see the outcome of this duel.
My bet is on Jason though.....

Well, the main website gave an idea of the beginning plot to it and how Jason and Freddy meet... I won't reveal it here for those who don't want spoilers, but people shouldn't be surprised by this. At the end of 'Jason Goes to Hell,' this movie is foreshadowed by Jason, in hell, with Freddy's claws reaching for him.
Now, as a big horror movie and Nightmare on Elm street fan, I am definitely going to see this one so I can see Freddy slice and dice that hockey-masked freak.
It's actually more interesting to analyze this little fight between the two of them than one would think. In one corner, we have Jason Vorhees, the King of Slashers, with over 100+ victoms to his name. He is uber-strong, can't be killed, and an unrelenting determination to kill. In the other corner is Frederick Krueger, the Lord of Nightmares, with a considerably smaller body count, but the most imaginative, creative, and horrifying ways to kill people. Not to mention the fact that Wes Craven's New Nightmare gave the idea that Freddy was more than just a demonic lunatic, but also an evil force as old as time, and therefore also immortal.
The big question of course is how will the two encounter one another to duke it out? There's never been any indication that Jason dreams, but Freddy can indeed enter the real world if someone takes them back, as was demonstrated in the first Nightmare movie. And even if the two of them do meet to duke it out, how will it be in any way possible for one to stand victorious over the other? Jason is immortal, having regenerative tissue that constantly rejuvenates him even after the most destructive things have happened to him. The only way that's been shown to completely annihilate him was to disembowel him and then disembowel the pieces, as shown in Jason X, a horribly crappy movie that I was actually rooting for Jason to kill them all. Freddy's advantage is his ability to manipulate his surroundings in the dream state to whatever he wishes. And even in the real world, he has incredible power, considering even if you kill him in the real world, there's no guarantee he won't just show up again in the dream world.
Freddy's main disadvantage in this fight is the fact that he's overconfident and he likes to talk. This is really where Jason gets a field advantage. Jason is an unstoppable killing machine, who will not speak or listen to anything you have to say. He will immediately go at you with his machete and hack it you until you are very dead. Freddy, however, also gets angered easily. And when Freddy gets pissed, hell is pretty much following three steps behind him.
I can't wait to see this.

*SPOILER*
jason blew up and at the end freddy pulled down jason's mask to hell with him.
and as for who would win. i read a few articles in mags about it and Freddy resurrects jason to help him kill a bunch of teens but goes on his own, this pisses freddy off and they go at it but in the end.....as much as i dont want to say it, i want jason to win BUT freddy will end up winning b/c it was freddy that brought jason back to life.

Neither one of them are going to "win" .. They're going to square off for probably 20 minuites (if that), end up in a stalemate, and the kids they're killing will find a way to annhilate them both. Thats just common movie semantics for you, and everyone should see this coming a mile away.

Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

I don't know why everyone thought Jason X sucked so bad. It was just a gory action movie. I thought it was hilarious. Comedy in that movie =
