i'm a huge metallica fan and i agree that the new album sucks. i couldn't even make it through the whole cd i hated it so much. to this day they still can't top the black album. they're getting old and losing their sound.

I think they technically lost their sound with the Black Album (not that the Black Album is a bad one, mind you). Compare "Master Of Puppets" to it. "Enter Sandman" and "Disposable Heroes" just don't match.

But yeah, most of their new stuff has been lame "metal light" at best.

I agree with Kthulhu, i'm not a big matallica fan, but i do like some of their older material, and respect pretty much all of their older music. But teh new single is shit, i'm afraid to listen to the album ... i don't even want to download it ...
