ummm, in Full Metal Panic, if you watch the sub version, they say "otaku" all the time and it translate as "fan boy", now is this just an error in translation (god i hope not) or what? im not trying to prove anyone wrong, just thought i would mention it since it poped in my head

Anyway the best translation for Otaku is super obsessed Fanboy of any subject. For example star wars or militaria. The word wasnt even used that much in Japan until Otaku no video came out.
