And how many have logged in once or twice and never come back? There are some very old strange login names if you scroll through the members list - duplicate accounts, one-time sign-ins, not really *members* if you know what I mean. And how many people who like to watch amvs really have the time to make them? Yeah, eight percent is very low, but not *too* bad if you discount a sixth of the members as no-shows, and two fifths as beginners who haven't made anything yet. ^_^
I wonder if it would be possable to remove inactive accounts that are over one year and do not have a video. Or would that be asking too much?

also, remember this is a site for the fans to, and AMVs wouldent be anything with out the fans. so the people that just sign up to DL stuff or interact with the other fans ars just as important as the creators them selfs.

I can understand that, but I would imagine that it is not as fun to only watch.

Most of us don't have all that. Especially the last few.
Besides, you need an audience, don't you?
I narrow it down to 3 things, with a 4th optional...

DVD-ROM
Anime on DVD
Editing prog...

4th option: sheer skill...

Some people have that 4th item either by working their asses off or by just being lucky enough to be born with it... [*shrug] Others just make amvs without it... But hey, dat's da life... :D

I do not mind that, I just thought that it would cause more people to get the "Hey I want to try that!" feeling.

I have seen your beginning work and still have it on my hard drive, It is not bad for a begining work, the only errors where on the techincal end.

ok so there are few of us creators out there. hmmm not bad considering, How many artists are out there. Painters, and such. Not many. Sure we have graphic artists. and musicians and others. but we have roughly 6billion people on the face of the earth. and how many are artists? How many are viewers?

up until my first Vid I had no idea on how to use editing software. And stepping into premier may have been a little much for a starter. heh.

But it is not so surprising that there are fewer creators than members. How many people out there that are artists(loose term for creative people) know how to use a computer? Of that how many know well enough to do complex programs, and further still how many know how to make vids?
