Grrr! I can't believe I did this! .H.E.L.P.!.
. . this should never happen to anyone; but it did - the music won't match the video!
how close is it ??? . .
1) how about 1 frame short, the song play's long
2) add 1 frame, the song only matches certain parts T_T
here's the kicker . . go 2 frames in ant direction, short or long, and Nothing matches - which is wierd!
I originally did this Video at 29.97 fps and desided to drop it to 23.96 - however; it looks great at 28.76 fps . but will anybody be able to play this AMV if their monitors are out of date ??
Opinions please!

Post-it, please ":|.
What are you talking about!?
28.76!?
Basic VGA refresh rate is 60hz, as long as they can display a OS in VGA 256color VGA mode, they should be fine.
I am not sure about your problem? Why are you adding or removing frames? Are you talking about dropping the frame-rate, from 29.97 to 28? or 31fps? That would make for some funky stuff. The only thing you can do is IVTC to 23.976 and if you didn't do it to your source footage, I wouldn't reccomend it. Since IVTC works best before you edit or add effects.
Please try to clarify ":O

bummer!
Please try to clarify . . sure ^^
. the clip is semi complete and in the raw state.
. . for final processing, I'm using Virtual Dub . . there is an option which I find very useful under Video which allows you to match the Audio to the Video's length.
. . . when I use this option, the final project is at 28.76 fps and looks . . ok~
but try to construct it at the standards 29.97 -or- 23.96 it doesn't want to work right . . and thus the reason I'm asking this question; will anybody be able to Play this video - beside's me ( having a multi-frequency Monitor ) ?
. I'd hate to upload something which only the Newer Monitors can handle - that's not fair to newbe's!
T_T . . does that make the problem any more understandable ?? . . because TMPeg call's it "non-standard" for encoding to mpeg!

Ok, good, that narrows down the questions a bit.
1. So when you edited the video, did you do it at with an avs script that included assumefps(24)?
2. If not, what frame rate did your source come in?
3. Did you export at the same frame rate you edited in?
4. Did your audio match with the video when previewing and editing?

1. So when you edited the video, did you do it at with an avs script that included assumefps(24)? no
2. If not, what frame rate did your source come in? 30 fps
3. Did you "export" at the same frame rate you edited in? yes
4. Did your audio match with the video when previewing and editing? yes, and that's when the trouble started!
........................................
originally, it was timed and editied at 29.97 ( round off to 30 ^^ )
. I went to use Virtual Dub for the final step, because @^%@##$ will not encode MP3 audio worth-beans T_T, and then the trouble started !!
it said the Video was at 28.76 fps T_T
so T_T grrr! T_T . . I went back into @^%@##$ and exported it at 24.96 fps
this almost matched perfectly . . . but . . . ( what a nightmare ~_~ )
