Creator Versatility
Do you consider yourself a versital creator? Do you make lots of vids that are very similar? Or do you try something new with each new vid?
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

I'm incredibly versatile: I suck at all kinds of things.
I don't set up projects just for the sake of doing something different, but I'm not going to pass over an idea because it's not much like anything I've done before.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

My technique is quite recognizable...
I'd have to say I'm "trying" to be versatile...
I'm sure I could do action vids... [but I'm also VERY sure that we don't need any more of those...]
I'm always gunning for originality. So goofy bondings with Dance is something I find to be very original...
I'm now doing a Drama series of amv so yeah, Dance to Drama, and everything in between, I'm trying damnit
oh yeah, I don't do lipsynch, and I don't think I EVAR will do it... [I'm not much for comedy cause its staying power isn't very high for me...]

I tend to go for action-fusion. I believe that action can evoke the greatest emotional content in vids, especially in terms of saddness and drama (fighting leads to pain). But I also like the add a horror touch every now and then. I do try to be versital in that I attempt to have a different type of plot for every video I make, I also use different editing styles (watch Drift and then Eleventh Hour if you want to see what I mean) in the different vids I make. I don't know how versatile I am, but I try.

I'm pretty terrible at lip sync as well but have never been a big fan of the technique. I always considered myself terrible at comedy. Mostly I tend to swtich between action-drama-fun. I haven't done a drama video for a long while but I plan to.
So I'm not that versatile.

Good question
Good question...
I make videos I like, so I tend to make alot of videos that fall under the same category. (Yaoi, Highly Dramatic, etc...) While staying away from other categorys. (Action being the main one). People tend to think I only make one sort of video, but I really like to try new things.
I have Kagome in Wonderland which I call a Drug trip, and was the first video called such (atleast by me, on the forums). While I have a video that is most extreme Yaoi AMV to date. Yet I also have a very sweet romantic video For Kaoru that is set to a filk/folk song. So I really try different things, which is where my versatility is from.

Hrm...
I think I've done every genre but horror (and hentai
).
I tend to be better at romantic and/or sentimental drama
But I've done my fair share of other stuff... Not so much comedy anymore, though I really want to. Action for me is pretty easy, but I usually try to integrate it into some sort of drama instead of just straight action. I think I've done enough lip sync to last me a lifetime
My few upcoming videos include: an experimental/spacey drama, a very wrong semi-comedy, a genreless semi-action throwaway video, and a bouncy fun/comedy.
I guess I'm reasonably versatile...butmy friends know me for my "vagina videos"
