BMP format images...

I don't know if the forum software allows it, but would it be possible to disable the image linking of .BMP images? If someone wants to make a link to one, that's cool, but setting them to display in the forum is pointless.

No, because you can't in general know the type of an image without downloading it, and someone could set up a web server that feeds .org a small PNG and everyone else a bloated BMP.
