Cons that give out prizes?

You'd have to look through the individual con pages to try and figure that out, for the most part. And even then, many times they're not announced (I don't remember anything being said on the ACen or Tekkoshocon pages about prizes for the contest, yet there were). I think more cons just give out trophies (albeit some very, very nice trophies in some cases...) as awards for the contests, though.

yea thats what i mean trophies, awards stuff like that. Anyone have a list or do i have to look at all cons site 1 by 1? thanks

I can't think of a con yet that I've seen that didn't have some kind of award/trophy for the contest. All 5 I've been to in the last year have either had trophies of some sort, prizes donated by the companies, or both. I don't think a list of 'what each contest gives out' exists, because I don't think most of us really care too much (though the trophies for Vlad's contests look damn spiffy...) about the prizes...

You can usually expect something, even if its a printout certificate that says U R Da Winna :P

but ya, any big con should give a trophy and often some prizes but they usually don't list them. AX gave me custom prizes based on my video O_O Since they had a day between counting votes and annoucing awards they went to the dealers room and got stuff hehe.

You sure about that? For winning Iron Chef ACen 2003, I received nothing...well SailorDeath did get me a Hyatt Hotel pen (yes...the normal ones at the desk).

Don't get me wrong though, I am honored to have particpated and a prize isn't really that important. I just found it humorous receiving a pen after editing non-stop for two hours.

Sumomo Clock actually :P And a Ein plushie. My roomie got me the Sumomo plushie already anyways.
