The left and the anti-war protestors all argued that THEY were the majority the whole time, and that the government wasn't listening to them. . . .(despite public polls)
It DID make sense based off of all those public polls. Period.

That wasn't how things looked in the editorial sections of the papers, but they didn't have numbers to back them up. The crowds seemed large, but political figues referred to the silent majority in so many rationales.

I'm not saying they couldn't be lying...my own eyes did not reflect the poll numbers....but I am not everywhere and was told that the majority supported war so what I am to believe? Apparently you must know more than I so feel free to enlighten me with archive links...I have time to go visit them right now.

America killing people is good for people, because America is the one killing them. They like it so much, the salute the soldiers when being shot, then rip their cheeks off and jam their own femurs into small third world children's faces.

so. . .uh, yeah. . . .you just keep doing your thing, man. . .

I agree with Misty. The government is trying to create a general state of apathy in its citizens and that's pretty sad. But they're succeeding, which is even more sad.

And extremist groups are ridiculous, along with just about any faction. It doesn't need to be about factions at all, that's not the purpose of government, because it's only creating more strife and a great social rift that's becoming more and more difficult to bridge. :?

I just love listening to the conservative party grill Tony Blair in the House of Commons :D I can't help but prefer that whenever I hear Bush say "I'm glad you asked me that" at the oh-so tacky press meetings he has.

The House of Commons (the British Prime Minister's building of executive decision and debate) may look confrontational on the surface but I personally think a much more open form of transcript for the people to observe the higher order of government at work.

I can't say it's better but it's not as easy to hide things in a forum like that. Our checks and balances should work that way...should....

Hate to break it to you but the war isn't over yet. We're still suffering casualties and pouring resources into Iraq. On top of this the nation building effort is going to be costly as well. Plus whatever funds we pour into Iberia... Combine that with the biggest numerical budget defecit ever (not including the war funds) and yeah... We have money problems...

Oh no, financial fraud, political scandal, and impeached president who perjured himself, as well as just being a moral degenerate has nothing to do with apathy.

The last republican president being out of touch and not knowing what a grocery scanner was, being foolish enough to raise taxes, that has nothing to do with apathy.

the liberals filibustering the nomination of America's 1st potential Latino/american supreme court justice, that has nothing to do with apathy.

If you're both saying that the government is intentionally instilling a sense of apathy in its citizens, i'd have to disagree & wonder what you base that on.

The way i see it the citizens are becomeing apathetic because of the STUPID politicians they've had to put up with for 15 years.
