It's a little too late to say I told you so, though:

I knew that they were lying about alot of stuff, but unfortunatly most of America wanted to go to war. Lying is part of the government so its not suprising. There really isn't much we can do about it.

It's never to late to say I told you so

Anyways, most of the arguments for and against the war have been based on the same premise, and switched around and ignoring the other half as time passed creating a more favorable atmosphere for the presentation of said information. The great part is, after every major event, the different groups switch which end of the see-saw they are on (usually when it is level) and present the opposite side (in their favor!)

The war should have never started for the reasons given as its justification.

I'm never going to bother with the "I told you so's" If people were so gung-ho and now they regret it...well...I started to believe if the majority wanted war, then they deserve the consequences. Too many people believe being patriotic is about sitting down, shutting up, and letting your leaders do what they want without critisicm.

It's really the complete opposite...many of your own elected officials believed this very thing and got into politics in the first place because they loved their country. Too bad that can't be said for everyone.

Anyway, last night on 'Now with Bill Moyers' they have found documents Cheny and his energy force had put together at meetings. They were Maps of Iraq's oil fields and lists of potential domestic and foreign buyers for the oil. All this in the SPRING of 2001, months before September ever rolled around.

But no one seems to wonder of even care. How many of you heard about that on your news station? How many newspapers? Instead....they probably just gave the latest update on the Scott Peterson murder case

that made no sense. . .

The left and the anti-war protestors all argued that THEY were the majority the whole time, and that the government wasn't listening to them. . . .(despite public polls)

But you know what? I don't think the rest of america cares anymore. Whats the message we take home? that we had to lie or intentionally decieve (which i still dont believe) just to boot out a facist brutal dictator who disrespected the rest of the world on a weekly basis? you can take that away if you want.

What i'll take away is that the last stock of politicians were either too stupid, too scared for their jobs, or truly mis-guided to want to take care of this problem. for 9 years. That alleged possesion of WMD from the UN for those 9 years and non-compliance was not enough to make them face the problem. That a child mortality rate of 200,000 anually wasn't enough. the fact that we had the military might to overturn him for breaking said international law was not enough.

Lets not forget, the intelligence in this article was also used by Bill Clinton in his bombing campaign on IRAQ, yet nobody seems to remember that.

Its okay, next we will kill people in Iran then other Middle Eastern nations.
America killing people is good for people, because America is the one killing them. They like it so much, the salute the soldiers when being shot, then rip their cheeks off and jam their own femurs into small third world children's faces.

yes, maybe then one day I can join the government and say "LETS GO KILL SMALL COUNTRIES CUZ WE CAN RAPE THEM TO DEATH! THEN WE WILL WIPE FECES ON THEIR RELIGIONS, AND TAX THE LIVING FUCK OUT OF THEIR PEOPLE, AND THEY WILL LIKE IT, OR THEY WILL KILL THEMSELVES BY EATING BABY CARRIAGES".

That sounds more like something Europe would do.
