That that, hydrogen economy!

Apparently, the "hydrogen economy" is not <a href="http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=s ... _dc_2">all it's cracked up to be</a>.

If anything, the initiative to promote hydrogen powered vehicles sounds like a conspiracy between automakers, energy companies, and the government.

The promotion of hydrogen is just a way for energy companies to make an image based profit, and for the government to bolster its eco-image while helping the energy companies make more money off the sheep like masses.

Gas/electric hybrids, diesel/electric hybrids, BIODIESEL alone, are all better solutions than hydrogen.

But of course, people will be falling all over themselves for hydrogen

Despite it's clean image, Hydrogen encourages global warming because it introduces excessive H2O into the atmosphere.

Whether the impact will be as great as the impacts of Co2 emissions from the burning of petrochemicals isn't fully known yet, however.

No power source comes without its costs, but it is still wise to develop alternatives.

the most interesting one seems to be the new alcohol processing bateries in the works.

current hydrogen collecting technology is unfeasible. but they're studying a manner of near perfect complete combustion that is supposed to assist with this process and well as refine other forms of combustion. I read it in Discover at some point, cant remember the details tho. .
