What makes a video valid for LOCAL download?

Post by Fluxmeister » Fri Jul 18, 2003 6:02 pm

Obviously this is valid: (????)
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=17834 (thus is still local)

And this is invalid: (????)
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=20429 (thus was removed from local)

...I fail to understand why a total BS video gets special treatment, while another is booted off. Foul play? Obviously both are completely ridiculous... so the bandwidth we are donating to should really allow for both correct? (or neither as many would prefer I am sure)

Is the argument that one had some scenes of live action video?

Seriously... whaaaaaaa?

I dont know why the video was removed. I know I didnt do it ^^;;

All I know is that there were complaints about opinion fixing and phade said he was going to check it out when he got home from work (which is soonish).

The video may have had its link removed as a quick temporary measure (but it's likely to be still physically on the server cause most videos that are removed are.)

Since when is giving high scores to a video you enjoy opinion fixing? :? Nobody forced anyone to give the squirrel video all 10's, it was done out of their own free will and enjoyment of the work. This reeks of selective enforcement to me. :\

As I said, Phade is going to check it later, there's no accusations here despite the numerous unfounded rumours in other threads. It's pretty simple, some people complained about opinion fixing, the video was removed so phade could check it out when he wasnt at work. There's no conspiracy or foul play.

Yeah, there's nothing I can do, I dont have any control over opinions or putting back removed videos.

I would like to first of say Thank you Phade for all you do. With the org gives us a place to state or opinions, good or bad. You have always done a great job of keeping material like flame wars and the such under control but is this something you need to control. I think with team the video will fall.

Look at me I make a crappy video no where close to the top 10. So it is all based on popularity in the first place. Let is be what it is. THe good smart amv makes will either like or dislike the video. I am sure the group of people that rated the video aren't the only editors out there.
