In Leesburg, comic shops cannot survive...there is nowhere to meet people to play magic, so I stopped buying cards a few years back.

No one respects white creature removal.
I miss the days when I could summon instead of creature-.
Bury made plenty of sense and was shorter than "destroy and can't be regenerated".
What the fuck was wrong with trample? I miss Force of Nature!
Tolarian Academy is not broken, average decks don't have enough artifacts to make it that good anyway, and the deck has to be designed to abuse it in order to abuse it at all!

There is a difference between "good" and "broken." Earthcraft isn't a "good" card, but people found a way to break it, so it's broken.

Tolarian Academy isn't that good; however, it is the most broken card ever printed. In Draft, the Academy sucks balls. However, decks that broke the Academy ended up ruining an entire Pro Tour by making every game's victor determined by a coin toss. More decks broke the Academy than any other card, assuming that Necrodecks didn't truly break Necropotence (Necrodecks were just standard black weenie decks that ran a few Necros and didn't really have any abusive interaction with the card)

Nothing's wrong with trample. It's not like it's gone anywhere or anything. And I do agree that 'bury' was better than 'destroy; it can't be regenerated'. However, the old wordings needed to include a word for 'bury but can be regenerated'. I think the change would have better made as destroy = regen possible, and bury = old meaning.

They might actually be moving back towards wordings like that. I know that newer cards are starting to use keywords like Fear again instead of "Can only be blocked by black or artifact creatures." Maybe Bury will rise again.
