Strange Video Problem
I have this problem
After I ran my DVDs through the ripping process, and then did my DVD2AVI and did the vob import
Everything from one of the DVDs I ripped has a wierd skipping that is going on
example: if you numbered each frame, then when you get to frames 10 and 11, frame 4 would be in between them.
This happens in high motion scenes and I am open to suggestions and help

Try this script and tell me how it works.
Mpeg2source("C:\whereveryoursourceis\filename.d2v")
Telecide(threshold=100)
Decimate(5) <--this may also be (6) if its REALLY weird.
I had this problem on the Love Hina Spring special disc, tell me if it works or not.

I tried it and it just made the video skip worse, got rid of the extra frame problem though

If you haven't already, try ripping your DVD again. I've had this problem many times using either SmartRipper or DVDDecrypter (can't figure out which one is causing it though) and re-ripping seems to solve it. If you're using one particular ripper, try using the other one of the above I've mentioned (or both of them if you're using a completely different one).

I am using Smart Ripper, and I tried what you said about re-ripping it, but that didn't help

Try clearing out ALL changes, and just load the straight D2V and see if it looks normal (i.e. interlaced and whatnot)
If the source isn't interlaced, get rid of Telecide
If the source is interlaced, but it's the interlaced frames and not the progressive ones that got duped, then reverse the order of Telecide and Decimate.
If it looks like any other telecined source, get rid of Decimate and see what happens.
If nothing works, start blank and add command lines one at a time until you find the one that fucks up your video.
