Are you Veterant happy or not?

Post by King_Cold » Sun Jul 13, 2003 12:19 am

I was just realising that of all the AMV released for a few weeks there was mostly First Timers. I am a beginner 2, having only released 2 AMV. I found that new commers today get better really fast. Well maybe they got better just as fast in the past but... I wanted to know: do you veterants out there are happy to see you'll have great successors to break the limits you've set. Or are you infact angry about this and fealing jealous. Do you feel the new generation will bring something better to this hobby or do you believe it will bring chaos over the world of AMVs.
If you think about what you tought you knew then you know what you think you thought you knew but you think you don't and If you think about what you thought you knew, then you think you don't know what you thought you knew but you do.
Think about it! If you can't understand my sig, don't you say nothing about my spelling!

I'm no veteran, but I figure that if somebody does something better than me, then all I have to do is kick their ass by doing something more impressive.

It's a dog-kicks-the-living-shit-out-of-another-dog-and-then-eats-dog world, and that's fine with me.

In truth, for the most part, I think most of the community is pretty supportive of new editors. Certainly I'd rather have new editors feel they are being supported and encouraged to bring out their potential to create videos as good or better than those currently being made by the "vets."

In MY day we made music videos with vcr's and duct tape. You kids now days with your fancy computers and your dvd's. Makes me sick just thinking about it! Darn wippersnappers.

When you've traveled 800 miles in the dead of winter on a horse and buggy just to get to Project A-kon and then spent 20 minutes trying to sync up one second of video on your Mitsubishi HS-U575 VHS player to your JVC HR-S4800U SVHS using the AMAZING audio dub feature, you can do what you want. Now please help me. I'm cold and there are wolves after me.
