Special Eva Movies...

Post by )v(ajin Koji » Wed Jul 09, 2003 2:35 pm

What are the differences between the normal Evangelion movies (Death + Rebirth, Endo of Eva) and their respective special edition versions?

Just in case.... no spoilers please.

Thanks guys

special edition? you mean the Renewal? if so the only difference is the picture quality, since it was all remastered.

I'm buying them off a website and all it says it has D+R & End of Eva as well as special editions of them both.

Special versions have them same reviews more or less but different covers.

That's all i know.

could you please post the link to this site?

I'm not aware of any special editions, unless they're 2 movie set, like the Bebop Movie/Metropolis special edition type of thing.

Well it seems that it's a UK store...

Well I can't really help yah out with that one, dunno who the UK distributor is or what releases they have.

Id say go ahead and get the special ED versions, they're hardly any more expensive than the regulars and you get extra stuff, more for you money I suppose.

Well, right now it's $1.5876 to £1. However, according to the website, those are Region 1 discs (UK being Region 2), ie American releases.

I do live in the U.K so I tend to shop in places that sell their items there

Anyway it's a bit over-priced i'll probably get the normal version from another site for 9.99 anyway, but i wanted to make sure.

One other thing i just wanted to say that my eva dvd #8 has a pic of shinji in a chair holding his head; all the other sites i looked at had a pic of Misato, I was wondering if anyone else has this box cover...
