It's like my third or fourth favorite hobby. My favorite thing to make is jambalaya, but I also like Middle Eastern food and just about any kind of soup (soup is easy!). My "specialties" (ha  ) are jambalaya, potato and leek soup, and samosas. I mostly cook vegetarian food because I hate handling raw meat. :P *is picky* ;)

Recently learned how to make kick ass banana bread/banana cake (technicahlly i guess you can call it a cake but if you slice it right you can make banana bread) and some anatomically correct butter cookies  . Can also do salads (dunno it really counts as cooking....more like assembly like sandwhiches) various omlets, baked catfish, grilled and fried salmon, chicken fried rice, various soups, made with chicken and beef. Basically if I get hungry enough, and there are no "boxed foods" lying around I have enough skill to conjure up good tasting meal out of raw materials. Unfortunately, since I'm lazy and I'm usually the one stuck washing the dishes, I dont cook on a regular basis.

I can do some fairly straightfoward pasta dishes (carbonara, lasagne, spaghetti) and a few of the consituents of a roast meal. I need to work on my timing in order to be able to do an entire large meal at once though, otherwise I get to the stage where I need to be doing three things simultaneously.

don't forget to put a spoon of curry powder in that one. It really brings out the flavour but doesnt make it taste really of curry.
