i think Final Fantasy would work out fairly nice, cuz clips of slow dramatic parts can be found and many action clips can be found.

i'd hate to say it, but evangelion was the first thing that came to my mind. but if i were making it, i would find some other anime.

come to think of it, it's good for noir as well, just listen tot he lyrics, oh yeh there' a cover by coal chamber with ozzy ozborne for added fun
