Codec Issues

Post by Moonlight Soldier » Sun Jul 06, 2003 12:24 pm

I've installed Xvid, Divx 5 bundle and the predecessors of Divx5 but for some reason my Windows MPEG's are the only files that can full screen on my computer without skipping..., MPG's and AVI's can't go any bigger than how they start out when you open them without skipping...

Does anyone know why and how to fix this???

Well you may just have a slow computer... How fast is your cpu?

Also sometimes old/bad video drivers cause a slowdown. Make sure they're up to date.

First, check to make sure that you are using overlays when viewing these. If you're using windows media player 6, make sure hardware acceleration is up to full. I know my computer has problems viewing video fullscreen if overlays aren't enabled.
