Personally, I wouldn't care much. If the digisub footage is footage-most-acceptable, I wouldn't mind at all...

Then again, this is the view of someone who rarely cares about the purely technical aspects of AMV's... but are you sure you want to spend all that time on it again?

In any case - keep putting out, Omnivore 8)

Wtf's with "Omnivore"? [one that eats plants and animals]

I thought all humans are?

Perhaps. But I like the sound of it, at least in reference to you 8)

Plus there's those insane vegetarians...

Dude, that video was really a lot of fun. I'm going to totally recomend that you remake it with DVD source, if for no other reason that it will be easier to make a veriety of distrobution formats (not that you can upload them all, but still, it's nice to have high quality MPEG2s for cons and such.)

My question is, now that I have all of Vandread Domestic DVDs [including 2nd stage] do you think I should go back and re-edit the Dancing Stars vid using the DVD rips? [how long would that take?]

Or should I just upload the "original" one in all its "digisub" glory?

[me knows that everyone will pounce and strangle me saying "LET IT BE DVD!"] but I'm still curious, do you want haste or quality?

The fact that I'm working on like 3 other projects kinda sux0rs...

On the question of how long that would take i would have to say not much. I found a guide on the net ( i have no idea where it is but i should be able to find it again). That acted on ad's guides but put a different method (or maybe this method was in the guides, either way it saves time :D) so here it is.

You download this codec thingy and you make ur .avs files with the vob. You open the avs scripts in premiere and export them under the codec u downloaded with the same name as your avs files.

Now you can quickly move around in premiere with these exported files to edit.

but! when u are ready for your final export. You move all the videos in that codec in which u were editing with to a different folder! Now when u load up premiere and your project it will say it cant find the source files and will tell you to put there new location. But instead you click on the .avs dvd quality files and walah. Edited fast and exported with beautiful quality.

This may of been a waste of time seeing as how it was probly in the guides and you read it. But i hope it helped

The digisubs I used ran at a different frame rate than the .vobs ripped...

so...

[everything I did was out of synch]

Thanks for trying though....

What's this mean? I have to manually "re-insert" the footage piece by painful fukin' piece. Though for one of my earlier works, I'd go through it again just to get 0_0 outta some people... and ~_X out of others... [seizure face...]

keep the digisub glory!:)

Look it was an AMV that was made a while ago let them
deal with it. I keep all the digi-ones as lessons to
future AMV builders "as a guide for things to avoid
when making there AMV's". I don't like the whole deal
about redoing AMV's for people... It's like the redo verisons
of Star Wars.. I liked the fakeness in places and that
solo shoots first :)

it's a waste of time you could be spending on new videos.
