Deceptive Anime...

Anime that ended up being MUCH MORE than what you thought...

Top of my list...

Evangelion: went from best to worst in only one episode

others of note:

Kiddy Grade (thought it was a "kiddy" show... lol then we had Eclair 0_0 *fwap fwap)
Gatekeepers 21 (nothing at all like it's predecesor. NOTHING...)
Guardian Hearts (reminded me of Kingdom Hearts and thought it too was a kids show. Then we had BIG CURVY naked women in the intro...

)
Papillion Rose (you GOT to see this to believe it. That title is SOO deceptive...)

The backstreet boys song's turned me off at first, but upon actually watching it I found that it was a really great show

Oh! So that's the name of the anime with the a**-wiping ghost! I could never remember the name.

Yes, Backstreet Boys. The beginning and end themes are both Backstreet Boy songs. They use "The One" and some other one that I can't remember at the moment. But the show is actually about a bratty kid.

Well X the movie confused me greatly till i actually watched the series...
heh Miyuki-chan in Wonderland...*cough* Clamp was on crack *cough* and Perfect Blue has got to be one of the most confusing anime movies ever but i rented it so i figured i might as well watch it!

wow another anime to use american songs. Funimation must of led the way to use american songs in anime. cough:: DBZ movies 4,5,8::: cough.

Kokoro Library: While it is still horribly wrong. The male audience of my anime club was hanging on until the last 5 minutes of the first episode for it to go wrong... in a different sense

There’s a meaning in there somewhere, we just have to find it. However I will say Evangelion was out there at the end. There was an interview stating the director
Did dent want to finish it but let everyone decide on what the ending meant to them.

As for Perfect Blue, the movie was all about control. At lest that what I got out of it
