Let me give you my theory of the day...

Lyrs is an AI program made by a bored person who just happens to want to test out its "social" interactions with the different personalities around teh nation and world.

Lyrs was developed and in the course of its creation, it was attacked by a spam virus causing it to mutate and continue the long line of spamming, thus the virus was victorious, and Lyrs became an almost intelligent social interaction AI with a craze to post and create almost useless spammage.
