sorry Alucard, it does exist
but it wouldn't be a failed movie 14 because the movies are chronological, in this "OVA" no one has gone past the super saiyan stage, gohan is also super saiyan, but also has not gone ssj2, to be movie 14, it would contain the characters as they were in the end of the series, but keep in mind that this is only for consistantcy, it doesn't HAVE to be that way, but it would be to weird to have the movie to really far back in the timeline, it would confuse ppl...so i guess it would sound like a failed movie 14 if you look at it that way, but i know it's not because you can tell by the animation of the "OVA" that it is was not made after the other 13 movies, although ppl complain about dbz's animation, it gets a lot better in the last movies, pretty smooth stuff, the "OVA" doesn't cut it with the last couple of movies in the animation department
so either the plan to destroy the saiya-jins was stolen/lost
or it was made by toei animation and not approved of so they never released it, but it leeked out anyways (i usued to own the complete movie, there is a high quality version and a low quality version split into 3 smaller parts)
so i guess i would consider it to be the true movie 9 (number is only in reference to the point in time where the movie takes place in relation to the rest of the movies)

Actually the lost movie was taken from a video game. Basically what they did was take all the clips from the game and combined them to make the movie. The game had an interesting idea. Basically what they did was stop a scene right before a person would do something and give you four choices in what to do. Depending on what you chose, a different animation scene would pop up. Of course I only know this because it was talked about years ago.

i know it was from a video game but how can they do that kind of animation from a game though? i mean this a SNES game were talking about with sucky graphics. theres no way they can do that kind of animation in that system.MAS PRODUCTIONS wrote:Actually the lost movie was taken from a video game. sorry, i wasn't saying anything about ur typing of OAVAlucard77 wrote:Ok Ok your right. But you don't have to rub the OAV typo in. Mercy.
i just said "OVA" to use the term loosely since the movie isn't really an ova
i didn't know that stuff about the movie just being clips of a video game, reminds me of chrono trigger now that i think about it, that would explain the extremely dumb scenes of the characters flying on a map screen instead of actually flying animated regular style
those video game clips went together rather seamlessly

nice job MAS
