...OK so I'm off a bit, by a day or two. My ISP was being evil with me, that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.
Back to the topic.
It's been roughly one year since the terrible attacks on the Off Topic of old. Which spawned many questions, most of them being "Defaced?"
So I think we should probably take a minute to reflect, or learn of... the past.

Well I doubt many people kept screenshots unless it was to give an example of a problem


And although it wasn't just this image that caused the devastation, it serves well as a scapegoat.

While it's never such a great thing to dwell on the past... uh... well I haven't been online for more than a week... (now I really sound pathetic) urgh. If anyone else wants to add to the memories fell free. If Phade wants to ban me for bringing up old wounds... uh well I guess I can't stop him. I guess I'm only bringing this up because I was thinking about the read only phorum plan, that never took off.

I think a lot of us weren't around for this obvious disaster, and probably only know a few sketchy ideas about what happened, any clarification on what happened would be nice.

The summary of what happened:

Punk named dbzfan33 spams the old forum with links to his shitty DBZ website. People tell him to stop it, his site sucks, and to go away. Being the stupid DBZ fan he is, he then proceeds to post the naked Polynesian you see in numerous threads, and starts getting abusive.

So, as I recall, since the forums are a mess and for other reasons, Phade shuts the site down for a bit, lots of wondering occurs, then the site comes back online with its current, pretty look, and shiny new phpBB forum.

And things are pretty good until the next bout of angst.
