Monitor contrast

Post by Akashio » Sat Jun 21, 2003 11:40 pm

I have a dual display. One being a 19" Samsung and the other, a 17" Trinitron. The problem is that the 17" monitor has too much contrast and therefore causes trouble when I edit in premiere (the monitor window at 720x480 is on my 17". Is there any way to change the contrast of my 17" Trinitron?

Yeah, there should be a button or knob on the front of your monitor :? .

Also, if you can't balance contrast/gamma between the two monitors with the buttons on the front, check out the Display -> Advanced (search around from here) control panel. If you're using an ATI or Nvidia card (sometimes other manufacturers include this in their drivers) you can gamma, color, & saturation correct via the included software and you can usually get a tight little match between the two displays that you couldn't get simply with the buttons.

Proving that there ARE stupid questions that people will find the longest way possible to answer.

As always Danny, you provide a ray of sunshine to my otherwise cloudy days.
