That's an awsome idea, now the question is how to get the hotel staff not to kick you out on the street for gouging into their profits.Phade wrote:Hey,
I was thinking of selling some donuts at a con to raise money. Mmmmm, Krispy Kremes....

Hey,

Phade.
Easy: Don't "sell" the donuts, but instead say, "If you donate to the Org, you get a donut."Ashton wrote:That's an awsome idea, now the question is how to get the hotel staff not to kick you out on the street for gouging into their profits.Phade wrote:Hey,

i have heard that canada loves its donuts...
but i guess i will always like the donuts that the baker in Sandhausen right up the road from my grandmother's house sells...
they are always the best... but kind of hard to get to a con i guess...
i guess for me I just have trouble thinking of things to sell... after all... i pride my self in making the work I do blend into the background...

yes... and the details are different from person to person...
i guess the brunt of my question for this topic has been semi answered... what forms of fund raising is acceptable....
and over all i seams that donations are it... sometimes "prompted" donations... but donations...

its really hard to force people to give you money anyway... ^_^
i guess the incentive format is the best...
ie donations... but with an incnetive... the donuts at artists alley... stickers at certian levels... stuff like that...
the problem lies in what the incentive is... and the details...
the devil is always in the details...
it is a rare and special individual who can donate money with out that incnetive... and its not a very rare person who will get mad when they feel the incnetive is not to thier liking...
