How can you be wrong not liking something? When it comes to subjective opinion matters, there is no wrong. I don't like it either, but I've seen some good AMV's done to it.

So, yea, bite me if I'm wrong.

Ok...I believe Hitler had an opinion that was obviously wrong, so do the members of the KKK. While some may argue that they're beliefs, and that beliefs and opinions are on a differnet plain, I disagree. One believes something, and the belief forms into their own opinion.

Generally speaking, Hitler hated the jews. As it was his own opinion. IT WAS WRONG! As much as you idealists want to believe that all opinions are true to themselves, you must join the world sometime.

Anyway..."Subjective opinion"? Department of redudancy department.

Hey NME, I hope this brings back great memories. I have a mastered version if you want it ; ) I know how much you loved the original ---

<i>Once there was a boy who had a large dog.
the dog was called Xentrix.
One day the boy was walking in the woods
with Xentrix. He stumbled on a wooden door.
Xentrix openned the door, and the boy
followed him inside.
What the boy saw amazed him.
There was a cave, one mile long.
And inside the cave were one million other children,
and a million dogs.
The boy could not hold back his tears, when he heard
Xentrix say:
"Welcome my friend, these are my people. Now they are your people too."</i>

How did Hitler get into this??? We have 2 choices in life? Singing along with Radiohead or singing along with the Horst Wessel Song? You wacky kids and the internet :)

I guess I better start enjoying Radiohead more. They're the last line between freedom and the Fourth Reich.

Thinking and doing are different things. If he spent his life in the basement hating Jews, I wouldn't have minded one bit.

So let's keep Hitler out of this... as for my comment there - I didn't have much problem with WHAT was said, rather HOW it was said. Hell, don't start telling me that there are wrong music tastes. There are bad tastes, yes, but not wrong. Recommending Radiohead - that I'd take with no protests...

I mean really. There's more than one genius band I could say something like that about - but I'd be wrong. Because to most ears, that music is truly dislikeable.

Could this be an any better example of taking something to the extreme to make the situation as to where your opinion on the matter could be the only justifiable one?

Shit..I bet that was a run on sentence and probably made absolutely no sense at all (hides from jbone)

Funny Radiohead and Nazis should both pop up in the one converstaion as I just came from a festival in Germany where I saw Radiohead live (best night of my life) and the was a huge anti nazi sentiment, so many people wearing AntiNazi badges and patches and fuck racism clothes. Made me really appreciate the crowd that was there.

wow this writing is really small.. heres the lyrics to insane in the membrane again

Who you tryin to get crazy with ese?
Don't you know I'm loco?

[B-Real]
To da one on da flamboyant tip
I'll just toss that ham in the fryin pan
like spam, get done when I come and slam
Damn, I feel like the Son of Sam
Don't make me wreck shit, hectic
Next get the chair got me goin like General Electric
Annnd, the lights are blinkin I'm thinkin
It's all over when I go out drinkin
Ohh, makin my mind slow
That's why I don't fuck with the big four-oh
Bro, I got ta' maintain
Cause a nigga like me is goin insane

[Chorus]
Insane in da membrane.. insane in da brain!
Insane in da membrane.. insane in da brain!
Insane in da membrane.. crazy insane, got no brain!
Insane in da membrane.. insane in da brain!

[Sen Dog]
Do my shit undercover now it's time for the blubba
blabber, to watch that belly get fatter
Fat boy on a diet, don't try it
I'll jack yo' ass like a looter in a riot
My shit's fat, like a sumo, slammin dat ass
Leavin yo' face in the grass
Cause you know, I don't take a duro, lightly
Punks just jealous cause they can't outwrite me
or kick that style, wicked, wild
Happy face nigga never seen me smile
Rip dat main=frame, I'll explain
A nigga like me is goin insane

[Chorus]

{*DJ Muggs cuts and scratches*}

[B-Real]
Like Louie Armstrong, played the trumpet
I'll hit that bong and break ya off somethin soon
I got ta get my props
Cops, come and try to snatch my crops
These pigs wanna blow my house down
Head underground, to the next town
They get mad when they come to raid my pad
and I'm out in the nine-deuce Cad
Yes I'm the pirate, pilot
of this ship if I get with the ultraviolet dream
Hide from the red light beam
Now do you believe in the unseen?
Look, but don't make you eyes strain
A nigga like me is goin insane
nil per os

I wanna Fuck Racism shirt...

Wait... I can make my OWN!!

Yeah...

Back on topic... um... I already replied, so...

Yeah.

I like them. Although I do need to get some songs by the two groups Fish recommended (Tom the Fish has some very underground bands in his repertoire. Very nice. Now if only I could find anything by these bands. ^^)

Slint is one of the best bands of my lifetime. It's almost kinda annoying to watch Pajo wither away doing boring lame guitar parts (Along with Matt of Chavez) in Zwan. Mind you this is coming from a Corgan fan boy too.

Still, I can't really see how you can draw a comparison between the two bands. Both in my opinion were/are great, but I kinda see it as comparing apples and oranges ya know.

Soulseek bro. They have everything you can pretty much ever imagine, and pretentious indie kids to rip on.

Ok don't mind me I didn't read any of the posts in this thread because I am tired and have a huge migraine but this is a thread on Radiohead so I must say *something*.

Hail to the Thief took me about two months to appreciate. Got the advance MP3s as soon as they came out. Now I'm listening to it nonstop. It ain't Bends, OK Computer, or Kid A by a longshot. If anything it's like if Pablo Honey and Amnesiac had a baby... that didn't suck. Ok, I'm done. I need more Excedrin.
