What will you aspire to?????

I am formerly a film major. I sucked at it, though (got a D in the class).

So now I am going to be a video production major. It's more in line with my interests (as you can probably guess from the fact that I make music videos in my spare time), and it makes me more employable to say, "I digitally edit various media for broadcast in theaters and on television" than to say, "I make movies!!".

So, yeah, I'm likely going to be something along the lines of a professional editor. I may also do some graphic design on the side, posters and cards and shit, seeing as I already do it for the military. I have some of the training in color theory (I just don't apply it, I find disharmonious color schemes interesting), proportionality, and I can draw well enough to do it, I know how to use Pagemaker, inDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere (I'll be learning FinalCut on a Mac next semester), I know a little about watercolors, acrylics (I loathe tempera...), and inking (I suck at inking, look at one of my web-comics if you don't believe me...).

Hmmm... this post is making me want to go out and buy some canvas and some watercolors... maybe I'll just save money and get some colored pencils to replace the ones that I lost...

Hey, here's an idea... if I made some fliers and put them up in the business district of town, advertising freelance small-job graphic work... maybe I could make some money...

Money is good... preeeeciousss.....

I'm currently enrolled in the Cisco Certification class. I want to go into the IT field and network and stuff. I also plan to minor in digital media, do video production and stuff.... along with using my artisitic talent to do some digital photographs and stuff. but ive got another year until i graduate from the ol' HS

I thought a lot like you back in school.
It didn't take me long to realise that the courses I was doing in school had no practicle use.

It seems even the high cost brain racking uni courses wont garrantee you a job.
I've always just wanted to be employed and be able to support myself and possibly a family. Not that I have any expectation on obtaining a family its just that my sister has a kid now and the father is a fuck nut and I want to make sure they will be safe in the future after my parents demise.

IT Field borderlines pretty much every other profession. Its who you know. I worked at a Nursery for 2 yrs before the big peoples suddenly decided to hire me in the main office and employ me full time.
Now I manage IT Support. I get up earily morning Every day, take the same bus to Perth, (1hr 10mins) Same bus to Cannington (25mins) have a coffee in the same Cafe'. Then open up the office.
Full time life is well.. Time comsuming...
Back in highschool, i never would of expected this..

no. who are you kidding, you dont have the patience for it. you dont even have enough patience to study animation.

Well, for now im going to follow my dream and see where it takes me, hopefully i'll end up where i want to be, and get the job i want. If not i can always fall back on my smarts and become like an egineer or something.
