AWA Expo question.

Post by Castor Troy » Wed Jun 11, 2003 1:32 pm

I was reading over the rules and didn't find anything regarding the time limit of videos except for the Pro contest which is 15 minutes.

I'm planning to submit to expo since I heard it was anything goes but is there a time limit on videos like 5 min since I want to send a video that goes over that time..

I believe the time limit for Expo at AWA is that your videos had to total less then 2 hours of videos. (Shrugs)

"You may submit as many videos as you can fit on one standard T-120 VHS (or S-VHS) video tape. ( In other words, 2 hours worth.)"

Do they have some kind of troll rules? I could just see someone submitting a two hour amv just to be a dick and make people sit though and watch it. (like a whole opera sound track done something lightly edited.)

Don't worry, AWA have good VJ's - if something is terminally dull, it will be put on at a suitably obscure time :P

The contests other than Pro don't have any time limit other than the length of a 2-hour tape. If someone really does turn in a single video _that long_ it'll be judged with everyone else's.

If it wins, only an appropriately long segment will be shown at the awards. Gotta make room for everyone else. We'll try to squeeze the whole thing into the schedule elsewhere, but really, the only option for something that long is really late at night. Anything of more reasonable length should have no problem.
