DBGT music

i watched both versions of DBGT the english and japanese versions. is it just me or is the japanese score for GT too cheery?? im a big fan of the original japanese DBZ. but in one episode where Goten was fighting Baby the music was too cherry and didnt fit. i personally like the change of music that Funimation is doing for it. at least it sounds like real music unlike the Faulconer score which sounds like video game music to me. the only thing i like about DBGT japanese music is the opening and closing themes. if they only kept those in the american version of GT the show wouldnt be so bad but i guesse were stuck with the crappy rap song. any one else feel that the Mark Menza score is good bad whate ever?? and the japanese score as well. i think its too cheery but that is just me. and is the japanese score of GT done by the same composer who did Z??
