A newbie's got some ideas for AMV's

I found this site just a year or two ago, but I've been doing AMV's with live-action footage for quite a while (one of my best projects was a trailer for "The Mummy" done with "The Riced and the Ridiculous" trailer soundtrack.

Anyway, I have three good ideas for some AMV's, but I don't know if they've been done or not.

1) A tribute to Zechs Marquise using Black Sabbath's "Iron Man"
2) A Dragonball Z AMV devoted to Super Saiyans, using Queen's "Princes of the Universe" (Due to it's "Highlander" reference, there'd have to be a lot of sequences with Trunks and Gohan wielding swords).
3) A "Neon Genesis Evangelion" review of all the Angels, using Christy Lane's song "I Believe in Angels".

If these have been done, I'd like to see them once this crappy probation period is over. Otherwise, someone may have to give it a try (I don't have the time or software to do a decent AMV for this site).

The Princes of the Universe dbz idea has been done. I've seen that amv, and it was good enough not to need redone - but I'm sure there are other dbz vids you can make a 'good' version of. That one wasn't as bad as some of the others, though the quality was off.

Ack! Double-post, gomen. Just wanted to add that the amv I referred to used their fathers, but I still don't think you'd want to combine that anime and song if it's already out there. Just as a precaution.

Even if a song/video combination has been done before, there's no particular reason not to do it if you want to. If you set out to make the same video better, yeah, that's not very polite or kosher- but if you have your own idea for a video, especially before finding out about a previous one- go for it if you're really want to make it.

I like Ashyukun's comment better than mine. ^_^ If you do decide to do the ideas you have up, I know I'd watch them. I'm all for different angles on similar combinations of anime & song, and I should know better than to discourage anyone. You can make a vid for anything you want. Will other people enjoy it...that's a different question...but if you like it, who cares?
