Speaking of Symphony X ...

This one's for you nailz,

I thought about using them for something, and I think they would be fantastic to hear, but for an AMV ... they fall too close to Dream Theater in terms of song length. But here are a few Ideas I had:

Accolade II - Berserk : Makes perfect sense with the character of Guts. I love the melody but it is just too long. Would need to edit.

On the Breath of Poseidon - Banner/Battle Flag of the Stars : Very orchestral piece and very complete (has a beginning and an end). The theatrical tone of it makes me feel like I am watching a movie trailer and the only 'epic' anime I know that would fit is, well. Also it would not be a music video per se but more like a trailer, cutting in pieces of text. It could be cool.

Prelude (from V: The New Mythology Suite) - Devil Lady : It's very short but the sound almost seems to come right out of that series and it happens to be one I am really into now. Again this would be more like a trailer rather than a MV, but it could still work.

That's really all I could come up with. Doubtful I would every make any of them, but maybe someone else could take up the burden.

I dispise Symphony X if I'm not seeing them live. This topic would best be handled by flint, as he is the SX knowladge god. =P

Rubyeye, you know Accolade II was inspired by Robin Hood and Braveheart?

Personally, I think Accolade I would be a more artistic approach and Accolade II would kick a hell of a lot more ass. Accolade I is a little longer, but it seems it would be easier to edit out some parts.

I'd love to see a vid with On the Breath of Poseidon, but I haven't seen the anime.

Personally, I wouldn't use Prelude because it's too short and flows into Evolution.

I think Fallen and Wicked could both be used for an AMV, but I think NeoGohan is already making a vid with Wicked. And I would kill for a good AMV using The Odyssey or Divine Wings of Tragedy title tracks.
