Since this involves video editing and anime, I thought I would mention it here.
Over the past few months, Onegai Studios has released Xenosaga as a non-standard 13 episode series (approx. 8 hours long). For the higher quality DVD production following the DivX release, I'm sending out a call for well made opening sequences. I could probably come up with one myself, but I have been relatively uninspired thusfar, and would rather see it done well by someone else, than in a lackluster fashion by myself.
I would like to mention that this is a great opportunity to generate some really serious visual effects. This video does not need to be moving or dramatic; it needs to be visually appealing and fast-paced.
Entrants are welcome to obtain footage in whatever way necessary. You are free to capture your own footage, use the DivX release (use with caution...editing with DivX can look very poor), or use the MPEG-2 release as it comes out.
The winner will have their work included and distributed with the completed project, and I'll see that they get a set of the DVDs (they aren't available for sale, for obvious legal reasons) with all of the inserts and labels and things that are being made custom for the project.
So yeah.... If you want to use your AMV skills for something short and sweet that doesn't necessarily require a whole lot of thought, visit http://www.onegaistudios.com/x.htm for more information on Program X, or e-mail me at astoll@onegaistudios.com for entries or questions.
Thanks!
