1 Hit Wonders That Make You Want To Die

Post by SQ » Fri Jun 06, 2003 8:38 pm

Yes, those songs that were o good, so enjoying, until one day... They were overplayed.

Now, whenever they come on the radio, or play in someone's earphones, you want to kill yourself.

What songs are these?
Why do you think they do this to you?

Songs on the top of my list have to be:
Linkin Park- In The End
(don't know) - Mm Bop
(don't Know) - I saw The Sign

I wanted to hurt someone really bad during the Achy Breaky Heart craze. It sucked...why did anyone even like it?

It was the start of the country drag age as well...

Linkin Park wasn't a one hit wonder.

Mmm Bop was Hanson. I Saw The Sign was Ace of Base.

Mine:
That "Never Had a Dream Come True" song
Los Del Rios (or something) - The Macarena
??? - Big Yellow Taxi

Plenty others I cannot recall. Which I suppose is a blessing.

Chumbawumba - Tubthumping

or that Lifehouse song - Waiting For A Moment or something like that. Never heard the radio play a song as often as that one.

Nickelback - Pick a song.
Between them, Default, and Theory of a Deadman, it's hard to find hope for my country's music industry. Where's Jet Set Satellite when you need them?

Shit like this is why I had to turn to KMFDM.
If nothing else, harsh noises get your attention.

Big Yellow Taxi is performed by Counting Crows. The song that Lifehouse performs is called Hanging by a Moment.

First unknown: Hanson. I and millions of other respectable people around the country thought they were girls at first. Maybe they really are  . In which case, they're still ugly women.

Second unknown: Ace Of Base. Ace Of Base had a few more songs, and were (still are) actually all right.

Ricky Martin-"Livin' La Vida Loca"

Catchy, but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overplayed
Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

She's living LA VIDA LOCA! Can't you understand that and NOT MAKE VALUE JUDGEMENTS?!

Anyhow, that was part of that supposed "Latin Explosion", which involved...

*Please visualize kitty avatar flipping through Datadex cards*

Ricky Martin
Enrique Iglesias
Jennifer Lopez

At least near as I can remember...yep, that was back when things were GOOD.
I'm out...

Eiffel 65-Blue (They defiled the mainstream's interpretation of GOOD electronic music pretty much permanently!)
