Oh yeah, that totally explains why they were both stark naked and she was sitting on him in just the right place. Sure.

Oh, and when they clasped hands at the end, their hands seemed solid enough. There's no telling what else was solid at the time...

I did. Well, I read the subtitles.

They weren't moaning and panting, but they were still naked, in the position, and in control over what parts of them were solid. Could that be what Rei meant by "ambiguous"? The world will never know.
