Hmmmm
I guess the closest to defeat (actually standing a chance and getting slammed down) would be last year's Otakon - My prejudging grade was only 4 positions the number included on the tape. As in if Otakon hadn't cut the contest down from 160 min. to 120 min. I would've been included.
Ah well, shit happens.
The agony of defeat

Well even though there not from AMVs I think I'll mention them anyway.
There was a crappy mural contest in school which most people taking art participated in...well were forced to and I was one of them, unfortunately I was late for school that morning when people were voting so I couldnt give in my final piece.
I didnt think much of it as I was certain there would of been better pieces of work until I showed it to my art teacher who was annoyed to say the least telling me that I could of won....and went on a mad rant about deadlines.
Another was a public speaking competition, which I just worked so hard on and I didnt even get into the last round.
Though nothing major, I can't say I ever really competed much in competitions.

Looks like we both didn't make it.... and just when things in my life were getting good.Ashton wrote:You weren't rejected too were you? Hmm, indeed, we will have to partake in much of the sushiing and wasabiing. *nods*Castor Troy wrote:At the amv creator dinner at AX, we can all eat sushi and the wasabi will wash away our worries!
