"Reading Rainbow" is an American children's public television show designed to encourage reading in children. It's hosted by Levar Burton, of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" fame, and featured one or two narrated books, some book reviews by kids, and each show has a theme, kind of like "Sesame Street".
