what is a good movie maker program? (free, hopefully)

I want to make a music video, but i do not know what program to use.
what do you guys suggest? Hopefully one for free... that would be good

There is no such thing as "good free video editing software". It's something that only insane people think of, like women running for U.S. president, Americans building skyscrapers, or using a UNIX box for general purpose computing.

Well, I heard that version 2.0 of WMM is pretty good.

As for the women running for president statement, I'll stay neutral, but hope that no other female viewer sees that.

Asking for good free video editing software is like asking for good free hosting. It simply doesn't exist (even the Carrot isn't technically free. Without donations from a lot of our pockets, it wouldn't be here).

Windows Movie Maker is free, but by no means good. My advice would be to start saving up the cash for a good package.
