well this was supposed to be two birds in one stone, my first CB avatar and my first animated avatar ... but i have lots to learn about .gifs
this was the avatar i wanted to make but it's double the allowed size, so i have to settle with my present one for now.

hmmm Jasc animation shop isn't quite as powerful as i had initialy anticipated ... that or i just need to learn how to use it.

The time between frames doesn't matter when file size is concerned, you can tweak it to your liking. I used Gif Movie Gear, which can do quite a lot of compression by replacing repeating pixels with transparency. Although first I had to re-construct the animation in Paint Shop Pro since the background image wasn't exactly the same in the individual frames.Propyro wrote:thank you very much ... how did you do it? cut out some of the time between frames? if so then i didn't know that would take up so much space ... thanks

hmm well, for teh last while i've been having trouble with fuzzy text in my avatars ... and this gif is nothing to gwak at, it's actualypretty danm simple, the stuff Lyrs makes (or at elast i think s/he makes them) are pretty good. But i jsut play aroeund, if you want small files that don't blur very easily make your avatars into gifs, text shows up so much clearer on them then on jpg's. Beyond that i really can't help you, i've been using PSP5 for almsot 3 years and i just switched to 7 not even a week ago, and i haven't had much time to tinker with it.yuppa wrote:Propyro, I want to know how you can get high quality avatars man?
